The Los Compadres neighborhood features beautiful, sweeping views of the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa mountains, best appreciated at sunrise and sunset when the changing light creates a stunning glow of orange and pick, inducing a Zen-like tranquility in residents and visitors. This neighborhood traces its roots to 1939, when The Los Compadres Club and Stable was established at its current site. The club features horseback riding, rodeos, Western culture and fashion events, and its annual Deep Pit Barbecue, which was open to the public. Midcentury Alexander homes from the 1960s were later joined by Spanish-style homes in the 1970s and 1980s.
